can you keep a working gundog as a family pet or will it get spolied.

I would say you can keep a working gundog as a family pet, but don’t whatever you do buy tugging toys or let your kids play fetch with it. You will either end up with a dog that will let you lift it off the floor before it lets go of that pheasant or one that rushes off to get every birde that it sees fall.
